In an age of awkwardness and ample time I was once a fanfiction junkie. There were a lot of things I discovered about myself in this time... the greatest was that English majors will make relatively nothing unless they choose to go to law school and it was during my senior year of high school that I decided to be blandly practical, choosing Business as my area of academic study. So the aspiring creative writer abandoned her passion for practical things and she was happy for it... she was happy she could pay her bills and travel the world and gain experiences and insights to write the story she had always longed to.
At the age of twenty-three I have finally compiled years worth of scribblings and ideas into the workings of a solid manuscript written in the wee hours of the evening after work. Fanfiction lit the creative fire within me and I will always treasure those moments in which I dabbled in the worlds created by J.K. Rowling, George Lucas, J.R.R. Tolkien, and many others, but events from my young life have spurred me to create my own world in which I may wander in freely and finally share.
Without further ado, I bequeath this blog to future updates, blurbs, and general mind mush concerning my original fiction, notably the world of Orathion.
